This is pure classic street photography, with a great impact upon the eye. It resembles photojournalism, actually, it uses a similar technique.
Speaking of technique, unfortunately, there is too much grain, and the tiny spots are somewhat disturbing. Maybe if the photographer had used less saturation, it would have been better.
Yet again, the photo reminds us of some sort of casualty, the natural feeling of wandering the streets, it has a very good vibe and it's representative for its kind. The cropping may not be the best, but still, it's a very spontaneous shot, which captures the street spirit.
Them III is the classic kind of street photography, which combines the strong touch of black and white(wisely chosen) with the natural subject that involves it.

I'm really quite surprised at the critique this image has gotten. Its a very nice image, the focus points are in interesting locations, its a clear image with interesting lighting, back lit but still enough exposure to show a bit of detail in the fronts of the subjects. The shadows are wholly included which is a very interesting part of the image along the road that proceeds towards the viewer into a plane of unfocused area. The only compositional problem I have with the image is that your eye is drawn to the closest subject, perhaps led around the group and to his feet and down the shadow, but you are left with no where to go. the closest lead line is back up the side of the image. So depending on where the picture was cropped from I'd say determines how successful a crop this is. I'd like to see more ground to the right of the image, but maybe just enough for the horizontal stripe to touch the darker side area. If that was not in the full image then perhaps this is the best you had to work with in the edit. or maybe there was something over there you didn't want to include. Or maybe you just wanted it to be a square. :)

nice street shooting. great time to shoot and great location.

first of all, thank you very much for your elaborate comment.secondly,'s true, I had to crop it this way in order to eliminate certain elements that were a bit too much and I also wanted it to be a square so there you have it.sometimes you have to sacrifice one thing in order to save others and that's what I did here and to be honest,I'm quite satisfied with my choice. thank you very much again!

Because the main focus is on the people, I believe that you have a little more space than it is necessary bellow them. I understand the need for such space, but this might be a bit too much.

As for the rest, I love it: the light, the shadows, the contast, everything! (this isn't a digital photo, right?)

Imi plac mult contrastele si ideea!
M-a dus cu gandul la "I am legend", cand se reuneste personajul principal cu supravietuitorii!
