An illusion of Solstice

The trees are almost barren, but it doesn't feel like a Winter day. I'm getting the impression that Spring is near, just around the corner, waiting to surprise us with its sudden appearance. In the mean time, in this Winter-to-be-but-not-quite-Spring season, I miss Autumn and its perfect evenings, gloomy days and fresh beginnings. Everything is deceitful nowadays, even our beloved Nature. The most stable element of them all is standing on shaky grounds.
