Hi Lucia,

Let me first say that this is mesmerising. Wonderful colours.

I can see what you were going for here with the leaves appearing to be lost at sea, but I think the bokeh in it's current form is distracting and practically renders the leaves invisible. There's a lot of contrast there both colour and brightness wise I understand it's designed to show the leaves floating in a sea if green and blue, but a little less depth of field and a smoother bokeh might not make it quite as hard to make out the subject and you'd still have those wonderful colours.

Another way of bringing the subject to bear a little more may be a tighter crop, possibly square to show more detail on the leaves and accentuate their outline. If anything I think that would push the contrast between detail and bokeh more to your advantage.

You get full marks for originality and as it stands it's a great image but for me it just needs a few more small tweaks.
